Magnolia And The Family Serving You

Magnolia And The Family Serving You

Magnolia Funeral Home and Magnolia Memorial Gardens, a perpetual care cemetery, are owned and operated by Glenn and Lorie Addison.  Glenn grew up in Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1979.  He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1983, the same year he and Lorie were married.  He also holds a degree from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service.  Lorie completed her B.S.W. at Sam Houston State University in 1984 and received her M.Ed in Counseling from Prairie View A&M in 1994.  The Addison's are active members of the Woodland Oaks Church of Christ.  The Addisons are actively involved in the Magnolia community.  Their desire to serve the people in this area stems from their deep respect and affection for the people in Magnolia and the surrounding communities.  The Addison's goal is to provide top quality, with affordability, during a family's time of need.

You will find that our prices are very good and in fact amazing when compared to many funeral homes.  We strive to keep things as reasonable as possible and we are able to do that because we are truly a "mom and pop" business.  From funeral directing to housekeeping we do it all and in turn pass the savings on to you.  Unlike some funeral homes, we do NOT charge you extra for weekend or evening services.  We do NOT charge you extra for a register book, thank you cards, or memorial folders.  We do NOT charge you extra if you are Catholic.  We do NOT charge you extra if your loved one is female, or if death occurs at home or after hours.  If you want to use our chapel for visitation you will NOT be charged extra.  Likewise, if you desire to have a viewing followed by cremation we do NOT make you purchase a casket.  While we need to pay our overhead and put food on the table, we are not out to make a huge profit at your expense.  Long after we have served your family, we want you to continue to say positive things about us and by treating you fairly, without any pressure to purchase expensive merchandise, we believe we will achieve that goal.

We want to make sure you are treated the way we would want to be treated if we were in your situation.  We are here to facilitate your wishes as you plan for the best way to remember your loved one.  Each family will be treated individually and with respect.  We will be here to explain options to you and bring your desires about with as little added stress to you as possible.
