Thomas Krautner

It is with heavy hearts that we come together to remember and celebrate the life of Thomas Joseph Krautner, a beloved father, grandpa, brother, and friend who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tom's journey was marked by a passion for music and a deep commitment to his family and work. Growing up in Germantown, Wisconsin, Tom's early years were filled with the melodies of music and passion for the drums, an interest that would shape his life profoundly. Tom was just 12 when he joined a high school rock group. Participating in both high school band and sneaking into bars with his mates. After graduating high school in 1971, traveling and performing in his band became a way of life as he searched for his career path in college. Once he found that path, his passion for music took a pause while studying Business Administration with a focus on finance and real estate appraisal in Wisconsin. His academic journey culminated in a bachelor's degree from UW Milwaukee in 1980. In 1982, Tom embarked on a significant chapter of his career by joining Jansen/Adjusters International in Houston. As just the third employee ever hired, he dedicated an incredible 41 years to the company, becoming a cornerstone of its success. His colleagues will remember him not only for his professional dedication but also for his unwavering enthusiasm and kindness. Tom's life was enriched by his love for his sons, Patrick and Joseph Krautner, whom he cherished deeply. They were the center of his world, and he took immense pride in raising them with love and guidance. His family remembers him as a passionate, loving, and dedicated father whose legacy will live on in their hearts. Tom is survived by his brothers, Ed and George Krautner, his sister, Doreene Chang, his children, Joseph and Patrick Krautner, and his 5 grandchildren, Kendall, Keira, Mark, Emerson, and Grayson. He is now reunited with his brother, Bob Krautner (wife Vicky) and his parents Joseph and Dolores Krautner who predeceased him. His family will forever hold dear the memories of their shared moments and the bonds that tied them together. A memorial service to honor Tom's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at The Chapel of Magnolia Funeral Home in Magnolia, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a man whose impact was felt by all who knew him. As we bid farewell to Tom, we do so with gratitude for the time we had with him and the indelible mark he left on our lives. His spirit, laughter, and love for music and family will be remembered and cherished always.
