Stephen Pharr

Stephen Lowell Pharr was born in Rayne, LA, to Robert Lee Pharr and Lilla Mae Bercier. He was the third child of 5. He passed away at the age of 82 on January 24, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Paulette Pharr and his 3 children: Brad Pharr and spouse Ann of Georgetown, TX; Jennifer Pharr and Spouse Nancy of Las Vegas, NV; and Scott Pharr and spouse Lisa of Houston, TX. He was dearly loved by his 8 grandchildren: Megan Pharr Day, Kayla Pharr Smith, Katie Pharr, Michael Pharr, Scott Pharr Jr, Travis Pharr, Henry Pharr and Max Pharr, and his great grandchildren Elian Day, Ezra Day and Micah Smith. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Pharr and spouse Flora Lee of Waco TX, and Scotty and his spouse Connie of New Iberia, LA, and in-laws Joy Fontenot and her husband Bob of Tomball, TX and Paul Lasseigne and his spouse Carolyn of Little Rock, AR, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joyce Boudreaux and his brother Bob Pharr. Steve was a graduate of Rayne High School, The University of Southwestern La, and of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a long-time employee of Shell Oil Co. in Deer Park, TX. Although he was paraplegic for the last 45 years, he did not allow his disability to interfere with his personal or his professional or his Christian life . He was the loudest fan at his children’s and grandchildren’s events, and many of them as babies loved to be on Pappy’s lap, or to watch him pop wheelies in his chair. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His funeral will be at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX, 26777 Glen Loch Drive 77381 on Monday, February 16 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be at the church from 9:15 until the services begin.
