Michael Joseph Coons

Michael Joseph Coons, 20, of Magnolia passed away August 21, 2011 in Tomball, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home on Saturday August 27, 2011. Visitation will be from 9-11 am with a Memorial Service at 11 am, with Pastor Scott Wahl officiating. The family has chosen cremation following the ceremony. A wake will be held at New Hope Baptist Church (in Pinehurst) following the ceremony. Michael was born June 27, 1991 in Tomball, Texas. He is survived by his parents Danny and Tonya Coons and younger brother Steven Coons. Also surviving him includes: Grandparents Bob and Bickie Coons and Grandmother Janey Neal. Aunts and Uncles: Bobby Coons; Vickey and Hubbard Williams; Sharon Hybarger; Chuck Hybarger; Jason Neal and Angel Neal. Cousins: BJ Coons and son Zachary; Andy Williams, Nikki, Colton,Hayden; Amanda Coons-Quinlin and daughters Gabby and Dani; Chris and Stephanie Williams and daughter Madalynne; Staci and Peter Vinson and son Stanley; Kinsey Coons and Brent Dalton and children Madison, Alan and Molly; Jeff and Ericha Williams; Justin Hybarger; April Freeman; Katie Scott; Brett, Brian and Bradley Hlavinka; Ethan Sims; Damian Thibodeaux and Zoe Thibodeaux Michael was loved by many and had numerous other relatives and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his Grandfathers, William Spruce and Jerry Neal and his Aunt Patty Coons. Michael graduated from Magnolia High School in 2009 and was taking classes at Lone Star College. Michael had a passion for life. He loved his family and friends more than words can say. Michael was a dedicated member of Magnolia Bible Church and worked with the youth of the church. His favorite memory was going to Ecuador last summer with his brother on a mission trip. Michael was a devoted Christian and was known to say “I Love God with all my heart.” Michael’s smile could light up the room when he walked in. He was kind, caring, loving, considerate, selfless, giving, and loved with his whole heart. Michael was always serving God and doing what was right. Michael always said “I Love You” no matter who was around. Michael was a huge basketball fan and loved the Houston Rockets. He would play basketball all hours of the day. He touched many people in his short life and will be terribly missed by everyone who knew him. (Galatians 5:22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (John 5:24) “Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
