Mauricio Salinas III

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Mauricio Salinas III, who was called home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2026. After a life marked by perseverance, faith, and service to others. Mauricio’s journey was one of redemption and devotion, and he will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and unwavering commitment to becoming the best version of himself. Mauricio spent his most recent years dedicating his life to God and to personal growth. After overcoming addiction and rebuilding his life, he found deep purpose in his faith and in serving others. He joined St. Matthias Catholic Church in Magnolia and later became an active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring, where his commitment to his spiritual journey continued to grow. On March 31, 2024, Mauricio was baptized into the Catholic Church, a profound milestone that reflected his renewal, devotion, and gratitude for God’s grace. He was subsequently accepted into the Knights of Columbus, where he proudly attained the honored rank of 4th Degree Knight and became known and respected as Sir Knight Mauricio Salinas III. Mauricio faithfully served his church community by volunteering in the food pantry, generously giving his time, compassion, and heart to assist those in need. Through his kindness, humility, and devotion, he formed many meaningful friendships and touched countless lives. Mauricio is survived by his beloved children: his daughters, Anyssa Salinas Murphey, Brianna Salinas, and Catarina Salinas, and his son, Diego Salinas; his father, Mauricio Salinas Jr.; and his sisters, Isabel Almendarez-McClurg, Cynthia Marin Sanchez, Deanna Marin Cordova, Michelle King, Priscilla Marin McKinzie, and Veronica Salinas-Smith. He leaves behind his grandsons, Elijah, Oliver and James Murphey and also leaves behind countless nephews and nieces who loved their Uncle Junior dearly. Mauricio was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Elva Loza; his grandparents, Mauricio and Maria Salinas; and his grandmother, Belia Renaud Loza. Mauricio’s life is a testament to faith, redemption, and service. His legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched, the compassion he shared, and the example he set for perseverance, grace, and love.
