Lucy McIntosh

Lucy N. McIntosh was born in Falfurrias, Texas, to Ramon and Maria Guerra. She died on January 11, 2025. She was 82. She is preceded in death by her best friend, and the love of her life, her husband, Roy L. McIntosh Jr., she would always talk about the travel, adventures and laughter they shared together. She missed him greatly. Lucy loved life and especially being with her family, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She was always there to help or sooth with an uplifting word, sound advice, or a tight hug. She simply had a knack for saying just the right thing, when you needed it the most. She was selfless in a way that is a mother’s heart. Always thinking of others before herself. An example is how she always brought a mountain of gifts for everyone at Christmas time. And we do mean a mountain! Each one beautifully wrapped with words of love on the tag. We would all say to her “we have everything we need Mom, please go spend your money on you, enjoy it for yourself”. She would say “No, it makes me happy to see you all happy”, That was her in a nutshell. We are so grateful and blessed to have had such a wonderful mother. She had a curious mind and many talents. She was an accomplished baker who made many of the family’s wedding cakes over the years. Beautifully decorated cakes. With some being six feet tall with fountains in the middle. She also loved painting, gardening, cooking, and she had a do-it-yourself kind of spirit with a mechanical mind. And could fix and build so many things around the house. She also loved animals, a trait she picked up from her father. She saved, and took in so many animals over the years. And had many beloved pets always by her side. She was amazing in so many ways. She will forever be missed by all who loved her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory. Her children, Carla, Robert, Melissa, David, and their spouses, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
