Bryan Swan

Bryan Swan was born in 1972 and passed away on February 5th in Las Vegas at the age of 50. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith Luane Clark, and survived by his three children, Gage, Bryan and Kendall Swan, by his father Billy Swan and his brother Michael Swan. One thing that us kids never doubted is how much our father loved us. He wanted the best for us, couldn't spend enough time with us, and would do anything to take care of us. Our dad was an imperfect man, but in his love for his children I am confident that he most approached perfection. He was a very passionate man and loved sports, fishing, and having fun and he worked hard, whether it was a tough job he had or an extensive refurbishment of a home that needed work. He was one of the people in my life that I could always count on. I will miss talking to him very much. I enjoyed our conversations immensely whenever we spoke because we had similar ideas but came from different perspectives. We are both independently minded, maybe stubborn at times, smart and articulate and compassionate. My Dad taught me many things in life like how to fish, how to take care of things and have fun, and how to show love through action instead of just words. Although the events of life limited the time he had to be with us, now our dad can watch over us and be with us always. I believe that he has joined in the Lord's choir of angels with his mother, who he loved so much, so that he is watching over us from heaven. It is hard to describe how much we will miss him as we become adults with families ourselves. Our hearts truly ache because of the absence he leaves in our lives, that we have lost someone who was so reliable and capable with a lot of life ahead of him. Or so we thought. However, his unexpected passing has changed my perspective on how to live my life in the following way. It taught me that this life and the circumstances we find ourselves in during it are fleeting. Treasure those you love and the time you have with them, as the time we have together is finite, and create the best memories you can while you can, for you to cherish while you wait to be reunited with them in the kingdom of the Infinite creator.
