Vivian Lucrecia Southerland

August 11, 2020

Ms. Vivian Lucrecia Southerland, born on July 7, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on August 11, 2020 in The Woodlands, Texas. To Vivian, her family was her world. For years she endured many hardships, in effort to provide for her children, as a strong and courageous single mother of 4. She worked tirelessly as a Chemical Sales Representative to ensure that her children were well taken care of. She loved them each so dearly to the end and her unconditional love will remain with them forever. She would never turn down an opportunity to spend time with family and always looked forward to seeing them for holidays or special random visits. When she was with them, you could always tell she was her happiest. The joy in her eyes and the smile on her face will live on for decades to come. Her hobbies included, spending time with her beloved pets; Lexie and Ellie, crafting, wood working and collecting. For more than 10 years she owned a Knick knack shop in Old Town Spring. She was always so grateful for what she was blessed with and found joy in donating to those less fortunate when given the opportunity. She was so kind and loving to everyone she met and, in her time, she touched the lives of many. Vivian accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in the summer of 2011 at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas, led by Pastor Joel Osteen Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, Chester L and Carolyn A Abery. Daughter, Sandra R. Southerland. Sister Linda Smith and Niece Wendy Smith. She is survived by her children; Gregory Southerland and wife, Vicki, Timothy Southerland and wife, Gina, and Kenneth Southerland and wife, Tina. Grandchildren; Whitney Marquardt and Husband, Adam, Joshua Southerland and wife, Nancy, Jeremy Southerland and wife, Heather, Nicole Southerland and Dane, Brandon Southerland and wife, Miranda, Ashley Southerland and Jaidyn Southerland. Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Michael, Kourtney, Colton, Avery, Addison and Greyson. Pets; Lexie and Ellie. Condolences go out to the Southerland family from the Addison family and staff.
