March 21, 2021
Christine Jahnke joined our Heavenly Father above on Sunday, March 21, 2021 surrounded by family. Chris was born and raised in Magnolia, TX on June 15, 1933 and was known to be ever cheerful, always put others before herself, and served the Lord with all she had. Chris enjoyed spending time with her family and was known to be the life of the party. She loved needle work crafts, playing games, and her all-time favorite musician George Jones. She also enjoyed attending volleyball games alongside her sister, Wanda, at Magnolia High School where they were both volleyball alumni. Chris liked to travel and was able to see many different places and countries in her most recent years. She stayed active all throughout her life, even keeping a part time job to help her daughter’s quilting business until the day she passed. Chris was also active in her community spending time at the Magnolia Friendship Center and the Magnolia Church of Christ. Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her brother, sister, her 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, with 2 great-grandchildren on the way. Her family will miss her dearly and invite everyone to celebrate the life and legacy she has left behind. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made towards the American Cancer Society in memory of Christine Jahnke. The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to Christine's family and friends during this difficult time.
