Charles Patrick O'Hara

Charles Patrick O’Hara went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2020 after a 13-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He passed away at the age of 56 surrounded by family at his home in Magnolia, Texas. Born on July 27, 1964 to Frednick Leroy O’Hara and Mildred Kay Davis in Eureka, California. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1982 and started in the metal building industry that same year. He continued to advance his career in metal buildings until starting his own company, C & T Building Technologies, LLC, in 2007 which has led to the completion of over 700 buildings in the state of Texas. Charlie married the love of his life, Laura Michelle Taake, on October 11, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Frednick, and siblings Ronnie and Troy. He leaves behind his wife, Laura, of 6 years, children Brian O’Hara, Amber (Ryan) Johnson, Kristen O’Hara (Michael White), James (Anna) Talley, Joshua (Kim) O’Hara, Dustin (Kendra) Thomason, and Kayla (Cody) Lowery. “Grandpa” will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Haley O’Hara, Trinity White, Alexandra O’Hara, Bryson White, Violet O’Hara, Skyler Johnson, Brayden White, Brantley Johnson, Kane O’Hara, Kayden Johnson, Paislee Lowery, and Everleigh Thomason as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlie was a stranger to no one, a loved one to many, and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Hope Cancer Retreat (an organization that was dear to Charlie’s heart).
