Catherine "Cathy" Seheult

January 27, 2022

Catherine “Cathy” Morrissey (Kacal) Seheult was welcomed into eternal life surrounded by her family the morning of January 27, 2022 after a long, hard fought battle with Parkinson’s. Cathy was born August 7, 1946 in Houston, Texas to George and Catherine “Billie” Kacal. Cathy graduated from Mt. Carmel in 1965 and then from the University of Houston. She taught in the Lamar and Klein ISD school districts for 25 years. She married the love of her life, Mac, in 1990, who perfectly completed our family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends, and she never met a stranger. She had an outfit for every occasion (with jewelry to match!) and loved to entertain, dine out, travel, and spend time on the boat or at the beach. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years James “Mac” Seheult; her children Kristen Lyle (Mike), Karen Kimble (Mike), and Kevin McCall (Amber); and her grandchildren Kimberley and Kortney Lyle, Jack and Luke Kimble, Brian and Mason McCall, Donovan Gunnels, and Jerimiah and Jonah Nicholson. She came from a large, loving family and is survived by her siblings Jerry Kacal (Carole), Bill Kacal (Melinda), Mary Pound (John), Vicki Spurling, Lou Barrett (Barry), Jenny Rhoads (Terry), Michael Kacal (Doi), Liz Roesner (Walter), Donna Schultz (Russel), and Judy Frank (Steve); Mac’s children Renee Nicholson and Brian and Jamie Seheult; and in-laws Tony (Marcia) Seheult, Chantal Bachar, Nicky Billings, Peter Seheult, and John Michael (Adriana). She was preceded in death by her parents George and Billie Kacal; her sister Patty Kacal; her grandmother Belle “Mommy” Morrissey; sister-in-law Linda Kacal; and nephews Chris Barrett and Matthew Frank. We are grateful for the care of Encompass Hospice, who assisted the BEST caretaking team that anyone could wish for… Mac and Kimberley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy’s name to Houston Area Parkinson Society. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 Kevin McCall, Mike Lyle, Mike Kimble, Jack Kimble, Luke Kimble, and Bob Doty will serve as pall bearers. The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to the Seheult family during this difficult time.
