Catherine Artman, age 97 of Magnolia, passed away February 1, 2022. Catherine was an excellent cook and worked as a cafeteria manager in Cleveland, Ohio and as a baker at a shop in Painesville, Ohio. She enjoyed many varied activities over the years: She made over 90 quilts all by hand; raised and showed championship Pekingese dogs, including at Madison Square Gardens; gardened; knitted & crocheted afghans, clothing and premie baby hats; and made many beautiful objects in ceramics, including a beautiful porcelain creche set. Catherine had a beautiful smile that everyone commented on. She loved dressing up and wearing a variety of hats to church. She loved visits from her family and friends, especially during the pandemic. In addition to her parents and two husbands, she is predeceased by her brother, Coleman Lee Shultz, sister, Cherry Kay Nicholson, and granddaughter, ShiAnne Taylor. She is survived by her daughters Janice Graham and her husband Ron and Kitty Jay and her husband, Roger; step daughters Sally Williaman and Carole Hodges; grandsons Greg Jay and his wife Christina, Brad Jay and his wife Rebecca, Billy Lyke and his wife Misty and Todd Lyke; great grandchildren Peyton Jay and his wife Sarah, Katlyn Lyke, Cianna Jay, Merritt Jay, Ella Jay; and Addie Jay; and the many extended family, friends and caregivers who showered her with love, cards, visits and care. The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to Catherine's family and friends during this difficult time. No services will be held through the funeral home.
