Thomas Williams Sr

Thomas Williams, Sr., lovingly known as Tommy (Big Tommy), of Tomball, Texas passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 77. In 1946, Thomas was born to Thomas and Annie Mae Williams of Houston, Texas. Growing up he enjoyed time with siblings. Even in his younger years, he was very laid back, loved a good laugh and was protective of his family. He would soon meet the love of his life, Mary Martha, and the two were married on March 23, 1967. Together they had two children and spent 54 years making wonderful memories together. Their marriage was one for the books. He began his career in the steel yard and worked his way up to a drafter. He believed that with a strong work ethic and drive anyone could move up the ladder. He instilled in his children and grandchildren a great work ethic and the importance of such. The most important lesson he taught us was unconditional love. The love he had for Mary was like no other. They enjoyed hunting, fishing, and short road trips together. When these trips were no longer possible, he never left her side. His unconditional love carried over to his children and grandchildren. He was always there for them, he taught them patience, and he was the definition of a truly good man (gentle giant) with a heart of gold. His true happiness came from spending time with his family and friends making them laugh. He is survived by son Tommy Williams Jr and sons Conor and Ian of Tomball, Texas; and daughter Kristi Williams and son Devin Masters of Tomball, Texas; as well as his bonus children: son Doug Herzog and wife Rene of Branson, Missouri; son Dale Herzog and wife Pam of Bremond, Texas; daughter Denise Eichinger and husband Doug of Bremond, Texas; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sister Pat and husband Ernie of Richards, TX, brother Jerry Williams of Spring, TX and sister Lonah and husband Bob of Groesbeck, TX, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He will be joined in a grand celebration by those preceding him in death: his beloved wife Mary Williams, parents Thomas and Annie Mae Williams; brother Jimmy Williams, nephews Robert Reeves and John Williams.
