Theresa Jones

Theresa Ann (Bounds) Jones was born in 1964 in Houston, Texas to Robert and Paulette Bounds. In May of 1981, she met and married the love of her life, Steve Jones. Steve never stopped courting his wife of forty-four years. They went out for breakfast together every Saturday morning without fail. Together, they raised five children, Cindy, Joseph, Casey, Kristen, and Ariel. Theresa was proudest of her family. She wanted everyone to be together on holidays and throughout the year, but especially at Easter. Theresa and Steve hosted the entire family each year to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, and to enjoy fun and family time. No one ever left her home hungry, and her Easter egg hunts were legendary! Theresa loved to plan family festivities, road trips, and elaborate practical jokes (the scarier the better). As often as she could, she traveled to Eureka Springs in Arkansas for the Zombie Weekend and Volkswagen Weekend at her favorite little hotel often with one or more of her daughters. Her sister reminded everyone that Theresa “brought the light with her everywhere she went.” She liked embroidered blouses and bell-bottoms and loved her VW Beetle. In every respect, Theresa’s life was filled with family and fun because, to her, everyone was family and every occasion fun. Her infectious laughter and silly stories kept everyone else smiling. She joked often with her son, Joe, who shared her sense of humor. Theresa treasured each of her grandchildren: John, Rebecca, Heath, Destiny, and Avery. She was Maw-Maw to every kid. But she was their Maw-Maw first, and she made sure they knew it. Theresa’s relationship with our Lord was first, last, and always. She is reunited now in Heaven with our Lord, her parents, sister Sissy, and grandson John. She is survived by her husband Steve Jones, Daughter Cindy Huttman, Son Joe Jones, and daughters Casey Trahan, Kristen Jones, and Ariel Jones as well as siblings, friends, family, and a community that will miss her every day. The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to Theresa's family and friends during this difficult time.
