Robyn Rudel

Robyn Woodard Rudel was born on April 5, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. She spent her childhood in Colleyville with her parents Joe and Carlene Woodard and 2 younger brothers Rodie and Charlie Woodard. In the first grade, she met her best friend Betty Edwards who she created multiple childhood memories including graduating high school as part of the Class of 1973. Their friendship continued in life as they married brothers, lived next door to each other, and raised their families together. On May 2, 1975 Robyn became a wife when she married the love of her life Glen Rudel. They met in 1974 when Robyn sold him her 1969 Roadrunner and he asked “Do you come with the car?”. After dating for only 3 weeks he asked her to marry him. Over the years life presented them with various job changes, illnesses, surgeries, and deaths of loved ones but they always demonstrated their love by supporting each other. They enjoyed spending time together and shared a mutual love for “testing their luck” by making quick trips to the casino when they could. Robyn was a very loving mother to her 3 daughters, Brandi, Amanda and Megan. She enjoyed making memories with them whether it was accomopanying them to music concerts/car shows, skydiving, or just enjoying lunch at Panchos (to see how many times they could “raise the flag”). She was always a part of their lives and raised them to be independent women. Robyn became known as “Nonnie” on June 12, 2008 when her 1st grandson was born. Her passion in life revolved around her 4 grandsons, Coltin, Gavin, Kiptyn, and Grayson. She loved watching their baseball games, attending school functions, assisting in baiting hooks and removing fish, or just spending quality time with them. Nonnie is remembered by her grandsons as loving, fun, and always making them laugh. Later in life, Robyn enjoyed spending time at the Lakehouse. Whether it was escaping with Glen for a quiet weekend or creating memories with her family, she always loved her time there. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and making her famous cornbread dressing & giblet gravy. Robyn will be remembered by several as caring, loving, and fun but she was also very outspoken. She never had a problem speaking her mind (many times speaking before thinking). She was adventurous and wasn’t afraid to try many things including street racing and skydiving. Robyn absolutley enjoyed living life and loved with her whole heart….she will be missed by all!!!
