Michael D. Frank

Michael "Mike" David (Williamson) Frank passed away on July 30, 2022 in Magnolia, Texas, at the age of 52, after battling brain cancer for nearly 2 decades. He was surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 19, 1970, in Peoria, Illinois to James Bryan Williamson and Patricia Legner (Williamson) Frank. He was adopted by his beloved father, Billy Arlon Frank. Michael graduated from Clear Lake High School, Houston, Texas. He also attended Louisiana State University and was a life long LSU Tiger fan until his death. He served in the U.S. Army, 1/7th Special Forces Group, Airborne Division from March 31, 1994 to March 30, 1999. After leaving the military, he was supervisor for various home builders and a concrete company before his illness. He continued working after being diagnosed with brain cancer for many years. He married Shannon Marie Meche on July 28, 2001, and remained married until the time of his death. Michael loved his fur babies - Taz, Tiger, Sadie, Zeus, Izzy and Bella. Surviving are his beloved wife, Shannon Marie Frank, beloved son, Tyler Ray Frank of Magnolia, Texas; his mother, Patricia L. Frank, of Houston, Texas, a step sister Kristin Elizabeth Frank (Kim Towner), nephews Charles Wyatt Towner and Oliver Ford Towner, all of New York; maternal grandmother Anna C. Legner of Pontiac, Illinois; an aunt, Lee Ann Alexander, of Hiram, Georgia; an uncle, Charles Frank of Ashby, Minnesota; his in-laws Ray A. Meche, Sr. and Brenda LeLeux Meche, of Houston, Texas; brothers-in-law, Jarrod Meche, of Houston, Texas; Ray "Bubba" Meche, Jr. and wife, Yvette; a niece, Jillian Meche and a nephew, Jacob Meche, all of Houston, Texas; numerous cousins and special friends from both sides of his family, Army buddy/brother, Troy Babin and best friend/brother, David Windsor. Michael is preceded in death by Tyler's infant twin sibling, his father, Billy Arlon Frank; maternal grandfather Harold E. Legner; paternal grandparents, Willis and Eunice Frank; uncles John D. Frank, Steven H. Legner, James K. Alexander and a brother-in-law Brian Joseph Meche. Michael touched countless lives with his high intellect, knowledge, his loving heart, humor, decency and positive attitude, all qualities that he displayed throughout his entire life. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the American Legion Hall, 3105 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas on September 17, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Kelly Frederick, Sarah Beavers, and the Amedisys Hospice Team for the exceptional care given to Michael and a special thank you to David and Beth Humphrey.
