MARYANNE COOLEY ( SCHLOTTERBECK) BORN: BUFFALO NEW YORK 1955 DIED: HOCKLEY, TEXAS AUGUST 31 2022 It is with great sorrow and sadness that we had to say goodbye to Maryanne who passed away Unexpectedly at The Woodlands Memorial Hospital surrounded by family Maryanne is now reunited with her incredible parents Robert and Anne Schlotterbeck She is survived by her loving husband Tom her two sons Michael (Susana) and the newest addition granddaughter Lilianna, Ryan (Tara) their daughter Tary and sisters Margaret, Ellen (Sammy) and Kathleen and her daughter Alexa Maryanne was raised in Tonawanda, NY a suburb of Buffalo where she attended Kenmore East High school and graduated in 1974 and then followed with a business degree from Sawyer Business School in Buffalo NY. Shortly after she would meet her husband Tom Cooley also from Buffalo NY and was raised in Fort Erie Ontario. They would get married on August 11 1978. Their journey together would then take them to Houston Texas Maryanne loved and was devoted to her family and the two young sons. She was always involved with their school projects and studies and their hobbies of music and sports. She was vigilant at keeping up with the family photo albums. She loved horses, dogs ( Kelly from her childhood then later in Texas with Alex and Riley She loved to garden she was an avid reader-she loved her books. She loved being a grandmother to precious Lilianna for the short time she had with her just born January 25 2022 and already had two photo albums. She will be watching her grow from heaven. Maryanne had various jobs while raising her family but her fondest and most rewarding was her time working for the NASA Space shuttle program. She ended her working career after25 years at QuestVapco. In 2011 Maryanne and Tom were introduced to cruises with lifelong friends Gary his wife Michelle , the late Rory and his widow Cheryl , longtime coworker Jennifer and her sister Margaret (Peggy) Maryanne and Tom looked forward and planned more cruises now in their retirement years. They had purchased a decorative cabin door magnet that simply read Tom and Maryanne Cooley cruising thru life one port at a time Maryanne now as I continue my journey in my life without the love of my life I know we will meet again in that eternal last port of call . Rest in peace my Maryanne I love you and thank you for the incredible journey we enjoyed for 44 remarkable years. The family will be taking Maryanne home to Buffalo NY to family and relatives to celebrate her incredible life The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to the Cooley family during this difficult time.
