Loninette Collins

Loninet Kay Collins was born in Van Horn, Texas in 1964 (although she liked to say the year was 1978). Due to her father’s career in construction, the family continuously moved and finally settled in Tomball, Texas. When she was older, Loninet and her brother, Richard, had a sediment and erosion control company. Loninet loved to play softball which is where she met her wife, Nancy, in 2003. They made it “official” on November 1, 2003 on her pontoon boat on Lake Conroe and remained together until her passing on December 31, 2025. Nancy and Loninet spent a lot of time in their early years together enjoying the lake. Loninet loved fishing, but would never keep what she caught but would take a picture for “proof” before she threw them back. Together they built their family of four-legged kids which included several dogs and cats over the years. She also showed her love for animals as she and Nancy fostered many cats. Despite all her medical issues throughout her life, Loninet stayed positive and always saw the good in everything and everyone she met. She lived life to its fullest and always had on her bright tie-dyed clothes which encompassed her bright light. In addition to her love for Nancy, she loved Elvis, Taylor Swift and the Dallas Cowboys. Loninet was VERY competitive in both playing games and watching sports. Once she was no longer able to compete in sports any longer, her love for family showed as she consistently showed up to support her great-nieces and great-nephews in all their activities. Loninet was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Shirley Williams; brothers – Billy Gayle Williams, Meredith Williams, and Richard Williams; sisters – Jeni Almengor and Susie Evans. She leaves behind her loving wife of 22 years, Nancy Mohl; sister, Brenda Scott; sister-in-law, Cheryl Williams; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. May Loninet rest in peace, continue to watch over us, and send the Dallas Cowboys some good luck from up above.
