Joseph Russell "Rusty" Cobb

Joseph Russell Cobb, “Rusty”, was born in Houston to parents Russell & Theresa Cobb. From his earliest days he was an “escape artist” with more tricks than Houdini, which kept Mom & Dad on their toes. Rusty excelled in sports, especially baseball and was a regular pick in local all Star teams. As he grew into his teenage years, trucks became his passion, especially Ford Diesel trucks and basically self-taught, he developed into a top Diesel Mechanic and the “go-to” guy or “Diesel Guru” for family & friends. Rusty was “that guy”, the guy who stops on a country road to pull a stranger out of the ditch, fix a flat or give a boost. After working at several local & national automotive shops, he was hired by Charlie Martin of Martin Motion in Tomball. Rusty felt at home there, fit like a glove and met the love of his life, Charlie’s daughter Lauren, soon they both gave us all a gift with the birth of their son Miles. Rusty, loved going to the deer lease, he was an avid hunter & fisherman and if you were up for a trip to the river or the lake, well, Rusty was your man, he was never happier than when he was on the water with friends & family. A much-loved son, a father, a brother, a proud uncle, and a lifelong friend to many, he will be sorely missed. Rusty was predeceased, by grandparents Joseph & Ruth Pulitano, his father Russell and his beloved fiancée Lauren. He is survived by grandparents, Neil & Wanda Cobb, his Mother, Theresa Meldrum (Ronnie), siblings, Theresa Hinman (Ross), Charles Root (Rhiannon), Tyler Cobb & Andrew Meldrum (Klara), nieces Angelina, Allyah, Savannah, Athena, nephew Julian and his beautiful son, Miles. Rusty was a country boy, the life & soul of the party and was never without that mischievous smile of his. As he looks down on us from above, he would want everyone here to remember him by a simple sentence, in the words of Kip Moore, “Ain’t nothin’ bout it luck, There’s somethin’ bout a truck”! The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to Rusty's family and friends during this difficult time.
