John Moeller

John Henry Moeller, age 58, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on the evening of July 9th 2024 surrounded by loving family and friends. John Henry, as his family and friends called him, was born to Father Clarence Moeller and Mother Marjorie Johnston Moeller in Houston, TX. John was raised in the Christian faith and was an avid lover of the outdoors and the rural lifestyle from a young age. After graduating Jersey Village High School, he took the subsequent years to pursue adventurous activities such as rodeo, hunting, and fishing. It was during this time in which John brought two amazing daughters into the world. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he worked hard laborious days to provide for his family while enduring the responsibilities of a single parent. As a father he shared his lifestyle of simple hard work, outdoors, and love for horses with his daughters and everyone who he came into contact with. He pursued a career in construction by entering the employment of Big M Construction, for which he remained a loyal employee for multiple decades. Throughout the years, the Maciejeski family of Big M and their employees became a second family to John, fostering relationships mimicking that of siblings. When he wasn’t working at construction sites, John’s favorite place to be was in a pasture. Whether it be bailing hay in Shiro TX, working cattle, or tending to the vast fields and properties he managed, John’s passion was always in the country. However, John’s life wasn’t all work and no leisure. John’s love for horses and the rodeo was second only to that of his daughters. Countless hours were shared by John and his family and friends on horseback in his home away from home Moulton TX. Throughout the entirety of his life, he never passed a chance to slip away with his loved ones to jump on a horse, cast a pole in a stock tank, or sit in a deer stand. Anyone, family or friend, who interacted with John Henry knew he was not a man driven by material objects. He would take every opportunity and item in his possession, including the shirt off his back, to help someone in need. John’s life was truly remarkable and he will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. John is preceded in death by his father Clarence and brother Chris. He is survived by his mother Marjorie, two brothers Mark and Bobby, sister Marla, two daughters Amber and Chelsea, longtime girlfriend Sheena, and five grandchildren Peyton, Presley, Riley, Haley, and Gage. Funeral arrangements are set in the afternoon of Thursday, July 18th, 2024 at Magnolia Funeral home.
