Jason Christopher Straub

Jason Christopher Straub passed away on the evening of September 24, 2015 in Magnolia, Texas. He died immediately in the arms of an angel after being struck on the side of the highway while walking. Jason was the victim of a SUV/Truck/Van hit and run accident. The accident occurred at approximately 10:10 pm on State Highway 249 in Magnolia, Texas. The person/s did not stop to render assistance or aid. Jason Christopher Straub was 36 years old. Jason was born on November 19, 1978. Jason attended Groton, Connecticut schools for four years. Jason lived in Watervliet, Michigan for six years and attended grammar school and middle school there. He moved with his family to Houston, Texas graduating from Cypress Creek High School. Jason was a boy scout and loved camping. Jason had a variety of work talents and built and installed fences throughout Houston, Texas. Jason ran his own commercial window washing service called Jay’s Window Washing Service. Jason loved to play the harmonica and loved to make people laugh and feel better when they were sad. Jason was fluent in Spanish and attended Bible Study. Jason loved animals and was passionate about animal rights and care. Jason loved going fishing in the waters of Long Island Sound. He was a fisherman just like Jesus. Jason is survived by his parents: Mother: Elizabeth Beatrice (Straub) Murphy and Stepfather: Michael Douglas Murphy. Siblings: Ryan Thomas Murphy, Christina Nichole Murphy and Rachael Elizabeth Murphy. Grandparents: Beatrice Paterson and Roland Straub. Roland Straub’s 30 year partner, Joan Miano and her family. Jason’s former wife, Casey Comer, her partner Shawn Amerson and his daughter Chelcie Amerson. Jason and Casey had three beautiful children: Nathan Roland Straub, and Audrey Beatrice Straub and a step-daughter, Kayla Marie Comer. Cousins: Tommy Murphy, Christopher Murphy, Shannon Murphy, Crissy Murphy, Stevie Murphy, John Hunt and Sarah Hunt, Noah Straub, Carly Straub and Ian Straub. Nephew: Cayden Rayne Kakotas. Aunts: Donna Brochu, Katie Straub, Linda Murphy, Cyndi Murphy, Johanna Gierhardt Straub and Carla Carrier. Uncles: Eric Straub, Brian Straub, Stephen Murphy and Mike Brochu. Jason was a loving son, a father, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a grandson and an amazing friend. He was always helping people when God showed him the opportunity. Jason loved his children with all of his heart. Jason cared about everyone and will be heartbreakingly missed by us all.
