Fred Corbitt Pate

Longtime resident of Magnolia, Fred Corbitt Pate died peacefully on February 8, 2020 at the age of 65. Fred is survived by his loving wife who Fred affectionately referred to as " my girlfriend", Connie Camille (Tolar) Pate of Magnolia, Tx; a daughter Shelly Pate Singleton and (Robert); granddaughters Shannon and Constance Singleton, Houston, TX; a brother John Pate of Tomball, TX; sister in law Deanna Acker (Tx), brothers in law Billy Tolar (Tx), Buddy Tolar (La) and Dennis Tolar (Tx) and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred is preceded in death by his parents Fred Pate Jr. and Shirley Ann (Smith) Pate of Decker's Prairie, TX: Brother James Evans Pate of Bedias, TX; Grandparents Fred Pate Sr. and Stella (Winslow) Pate; James Nathaniel Smith and Blanche N (Corbitt) Smith; and Inlaws Toxie and Bernice Tolar. Born April 5, 1954 Fred graduated in 1973 from Tomball High school. Fred and Connie were married 44 years on 30 December 1975 and lived in Magnolia, Texas their entire married life. Fred was master cabinet maker and a well known - accomplished musician and singer. He was known by many as a generous, quick witted, Brother in Christ who loved not only music, but salvage deals, yard sales, tinkering with cars- trucks and fishing. In addition he enjoyed a good Bible Study. He was a generous individual who loved and who was passionate about helping his neighbors and friends in their time of need. He was a dedicated believer of Jesus Christ and the message of the Cross. He shared his faith by offering prayer and giving of his time to help many family, friends, neighbors and complete strangers. In lieu of flowers, it is asked that a good deed be done for your family, friend, neighbor or a stranger as a memorial to Fred. Prayers are appreciated for all the family and friends. The Magnolia Funeral Home, the Addison Family is handling the arrangements for cremation. The family would like to thank the Vintage at St. Lukes Hospital staff, long time friends Randy House, Rusty Rutledge, Monty Fogel, Kip Coe, Ronald Statcher, Charles Holder, Frank Stoval, Robin "hood" Mims, Wayne and Rhonda Mize, Gary and Teresa Dimick, Marshall White, Jimmy Shows and loving sister in law Deanna Acker for their kind efforts and dedicated care to assist Fred and the family.
