Deanna Haarmeyer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna Carol Haarmeyer, who passed away peacefully at her home in Pinehurst, Texas, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 60. Deanna was born in 1966, in Houston, Texas, to the late Anton John Shupak and Loretta Katheryn Busker. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Gene, daughter, Kendall Coons and her husband, Clint; her son, Cameron Haarmeyer; and the greatest joys of her life, her grandsons, Maverick and Waylon. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Johnston and her husband, Alan; her nieces, Ashley Hill and her husband, Greg, and Kaylan Cantu and her husband, Robert; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Deanna also leaves behind her cherished friends who are family, Judy and David Szymanski and the entire Szymanski family. For nearly 40 years, Deanna dedicated her career to serving others as a Customer Service Representative in the insurance industry. She was known for her patience and compassion. Her strong work ethic, professionalism and friendly personality earned the respect of her coworkers and the trust of the many customers she assisted throughout the years. She took great pride in her work and built long lasting friendships through her kindness, reliability and commitment to providing exceptional service. Her legacy of dedication and care will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working with her. Deanna was a country girl through and through. She once said her favorite things in life were her family, country music, her beloved Boxer dogs, and sitting in the garage or by the pool with a cold beer—not necessarily in that order. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, "Gammaw," and friend whose love, laughter, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. Deanna met the love of her life, Gene, at the 1991 VFW New Year's Eve Dance in Cypress. It was love at first sight. They were married on September 12, 1992, in Cypress, Texas, and shared nearly 34 wonderful years of marriage. In October 1994, they welcomed their daughter, Kendall, and shortly afterward moved to Pinehurst. In October 1997, they welcomed their son, Cameron, completing their family. Over the years, that home grew into the beloved Haarmeyer home, a place filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Though she is no longer with us, her love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
