Darrel Grey Wilkinson

Darrel Grey Wilkinson, 81, of Brownsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 30, 2025, at his home. He was born in Conroe, Texas. Grey is survived by wife, Shirley Wilkinson; daughter, Melanie White and husband John; son, Darrel Grey Wilkinson II and wife, Courtney; step-daughters, Michelle Fanguy and husband, Jeffrey; Sheila Darcey and husband, Clay; Susie Fitzgerald and husband, Martin; and step-son, Shane Parmer and wife, Ashley. His precious grandchildren include: Taylor Hubbard, Madison Love, Alex White, Cooper Wilkinson, Carter Wilkinson, Parker Biley; and a great-grandchild, Parker Hubbard, as well as a host of step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Additionally, Grey is survived by his sister, Carmen McCann. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Parker Wilkinson; his father, Claude Elmer Wilkinson; mother, Anna Marie Wilkinson; brothers, Paul Wayne Wilkinson, Claude Guinn Wilkinson, and sister, Claudette Wilkinson. Grey attended and graduated from Nordheim High School in Nordheim, Texas. After high school, he joined the US Air Force and served in the military for 4 years. He married and had a family and enjoyed a fulfilling career in auto dealership sales and management. Outside of work, Grey’s time and attention was focused on his family and grandchildren. He spent many hours traveling to watch his grandsons compete in sports. He loved to play golf, deep-sea fish, and travel. Even as great as his love was for his family, Grey’s greatest love was for his Lord who he served faithfully all his life. It was common to find Grey witnessing about Jesus everywhere he went. Daily, he shared that he looked forward to spending eternity with his Lord and Savior. Pallbearers include Cooper Wilkinson, Carter Wilkinson, Alex White, Dennis Graham, Shane Parmer, Stanley Laymance, Andy Garcia, and Cruz Coe. Honorary Pallbearers include Avery Love, Gage Hubbard, Rev. Lynn Davis, Jerry Grisaffi, Kim Jesse, Mark Denard, Carl McGee, and Bobby Wilkinson.
