Craig Enoch

The world lost a gem with the sudden passing of Craig Enoch on 2/2/24. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, he graduated from Indiana University in 1982. He was confined to a wheelchair his whole life, but that never slowed him down or stopped him from living life to its fullest. In his younger years he was an avid skier and never missed out on the opportunity to have an adventure. He made friends wherever he went and never knew a stranger. He devoted his life to helping others through his work with the Social Security Administration and his dedication to Medina Creative Housing, an organization devoted to creating a comprehensive lifestyle for individuals with disabilities. He never used his disability as an excuse, serving as a wonderful example not only to the disabled community but also to every able-bodied person he met. It was impossible for those who knew him not to be touched by his strength and positive attitude. It was at the Social Security Administration that he met the love of his life, Marianne. They were married in New Orleans, a city that captured Craig’s heart long ago and that perfectly encapsulated Craig’s fun-loving personality. The two of them went on many adventures in their 21 years of marriage, including travelling all over the country visiting with friends along the way. In his later years, Craig enjoyed sitting on their back patio (affectionately known as “The Thirsty Parrot”) enjoying a cigar, a drink, and the company of Marianne, their beloved dog Django, and their friends in Tomball. Craig was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching basketball. While Craig and Marianne would relocate to Texas to be closer to family, he never lost his passion and allegiance for the Cleveland Browns. Most Sundays during football season, Craig could be found sporting one of his many Browns t-shirts and hanging with friends at Browns Backers watch parties (yes, he even found them in Tomball, TX!). Craig is preceded in death by his parents Donald E. Enoch and Wanita M. Enoch (Smith), his brother Bradley Enoch, and aunt Junetta Crews. He is survived by his wife Marianne, aunt Alberta Marsh (Thomas, deceased), brother Greg Enoch (Vicki), cousins Brian, Daniel, and Karen Marsh, niece Trisha Skillman (Brian), nephew Joel Enoch (Becky), step children Jen Powis (Lynda Case) and Tom Powis III (Maggie) and grandchildren Dylan and Aiden Powis-Case and Ava and Harper Powis. He also leaves behind great nieces and nephews and friends all over the country and the world. Craig’s life will be honored in two different memorial services. The Texas memorial service will be held on 2/29/24 at 3 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home (811 South Magnolia Blvd, Magnolia, TX 77355). His Ohio memorial will be held on May 18th at 3 pm at Medina Creative Therapy Ranch (5200 Lake Rd, Medina, OH 44256). Please join us as we pay tribute to a wonderful man who will never be forgotten.
