Linda Fath

Linda Susan Fath passed away peacefully on April 9, 2019, at her home in Pinehurst, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 2, 1955, to Patricia Louise Luther and Henry David Luther in Canton, Ohio. She is survived by her husband Stephen Joseph Fath, her two daughters Heather Graham (husband Geoff) and Holly Madden (husband Chris), her two step-children, Amity Ann Fath and Damian Laurence Fath, and seven grandchildren: Parker, Preston, and Pryce Graham, and Austin, Devon, and Alexis Madden, and Suri Anne Fath. Linda is also survived by her three sisters Jeannie Gistri, Sally Vega, and Beckey Boone, their children, and her father Henry David Luther and stepmother Patricia Luther, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Raised in Ohio, Linda attended Saint Joan of Arc Elementary School and Central Catholic High School, both in Canton, Ohio. She graduated high school in 1973. Almost from birth, Linda had a lifelong love for animals, and for horses in particular. While in elementary school, Linda was a member of the equestrian division of the local 4H Club, where she rode her pony and two horses in numerous horse shows and acquired a significant number of trophies and blue, green and red ribbons via trail-riding, barrel-racing, and jumping competitions. While in high school, Linda and her horse, Racky, served as the school's Crusader football team mascot, and, while dressed in full Crusader regalia, complete with banner, she and Racky galloped across the field to a stadium full of cheering fans during halftime at every home game. After school, Linda worked with various accounting and photography companies. She met and married Dale Hamilton, and they raised their two daughters, Heather and Holly, in Wadsworth, Ohio. Linda became a national specialist in accounting software systems, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron, Ohio, with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting. With degree in hand, she served at an executive level for a variety of companies, including those in the energy industry. She later joined her sisters in Texas by moving to The Woodlands, and her daughters, now adults with their own families, moved to Texas to be near her. Linda was always an active supporter of the communities in which she lived. Along with various church activities, Linda was a member of The Red Hat Society and her local Garden Clubs. Also, on the weekends, she and her sister Sally and daughter Holly attended festivals all over Texas to sell a product called Hair Thingies. Most notable among her many talents is her artistry in knitting, sewing and dress making. After she retired, she obtained her real estate and brokerage licenses and specialized in largescale equestrian-property transactions. Linda was an avid scuba diver, and traveled to worldwide dive locations. She obtained five certifications, including deep water diving and cave diving, among others, and became a master scuba diver. She also had a peculiar habit of parachute-jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. She Water skied, snow skied, ice skated, roller bladed, cycled, hiked, rode trail motorcycles and occasionally co-piloted with her father in his airplane. In 2007, Linda met Steve Fath, who was her loving partner to the end of her life. Linda and Steve were married in 2008, and celebrated their 10th anniversary in September of 2018. Together, Linda and Steve bought a Victorian-style farmhouse in Pinehurst, Texas. They filled their land with organic vegetable and fruit gardens and acquired, bred, and raised many animals, including two horses (of course) and goats, cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, bees and an alpaca, and of course her pet African Gray Parrot Chaucer. The goats are the foundation for Linda and Steve's home-based business, Sweet Bleats Farm that produces and sells goat-milk-based products such as skin lotions and soaps. Linda Susan Fath is deeply missed by her family and all who knew her and all those whose lives she touched.
