Tributes Add Your Tribute
By: Debbie Burwell Sloan Jun 23, 2010
I loved Uncle Robert when I was a kid. He was quiet, calm and so patient. He was good to my brothers and I. When I was small I used to stand on a chair and ring the bell to wake him up as he slept in a small house away from the big house.

As an adult I enjoyed listening to him. He was level headed and very knowledgeable. I remember how he would think before he answered a question. The e-mails we shared will always be a great memory. He looked a lot like my dad which was special to me. My dad died in 1986 and I could see him when I looked at Uncle Robert.

He could do anything he set his mind to. I have pictures in my hall that were framed by him back in probably 1960. My parents told me that one time years ago he ordered a television in parts and put it together. Amazing !

I will always have fond memories of him.

Debbie
